More information:

My wife and I have a farmhouse near Buckfastleigh with 2 spare bedrooms. We are willing to accommodate people for periods of up to 6 months and to help them integrate with the local community. Syrians preferred, as we have some connections with that country.

I am a member of a newly formed group, part of the national Cities of Sanctuary movement (https://cityofsanctuary.org). Our work has been endorsed by the City Council, which has announced that Exeter will become a City of Sanctuary. We are at the early stages of planning our activities, which will include awareness raising, lobbying, training and developing the capacity and resources for welcoming refugees in Exeter. We are not yet a registered charity but intend to become one soon.
