Time Exchange: Informal connections, one to one
In Norway, linked to a refugee support initiative, a library has established a system where you can ‘borrow’ a person for an hour or two! People register to ‘x’ hours availability a month, list their experience/ skills / interests/ hobbies / help they’d appreciate: and then local people and refugees can find each other and book ‘time with each other, that involves activity, chatting, skill exchange based, as desired!
We could establish a version of this – to be explored as actively by asylum seekers and refugees as by local people – an informal, could be help-focused but not necessarily ‘goal-oriented’ cross-fertilisation and exchange of interests and support.
